Vale of White Horse District Council gives notice that it has received the report of the Independent Panel on its Councillors’ Allowances Scheme.

Council will consider the recommendations at its meeting on 14 December 2011.

Allowances - Independent Panel Recommendations

Basic allowance - all councillors £3,829
Travel on approved duties - Rates payable to officers

Carer’s allowance - Childcare - £6.00/hr, Dependent care - £15.00/hr
Up to a maximum of £2,698 per annum

Deputy Leader of the Council £13,050

Chair of Scrutiny Committee £3,559
