HARWELL-CHILTON CAMPUS LOCAL STAKEHOLDER GROUP (LSG) MEETING

The public are invited to attend the LSG meeting to be held at the Training Centre of the Health Protection Agency, Fermi Avenue, Harwell-Chilton Campus, on Friday, 2nd December 2011 at 10:00am.

The Agenda will include a presentation on Research Sites Restoration Limited’s Harwell programme and update reports by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Office for Nuclear Regulation and the Environment Agency. Leading campus organisations are invited to provide updates on their operations at Harwell Oxford including campus development.

The LSG meets three times a year to hear reports and raise questions about operations on the site licensed area of the Harwell Oxford Campus. The committee consists of representatives of local government from parish to county level, local interest groups and the independent regulators. Members of the press are invited.

The meeting will be chaired by Cllr Terry Joslin and is open to all and anyone attending may raise questions.

On the afternoon and evening of Wednesday 7th December 2011 the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) will exercise responsibilities associated with their role at Harwell Oxford Campus, Research Sites Restoration Ltd (RSRL). CNC will be joined by other Emergency Services during this period.

During the course of the exercise the Klaxon may be sounded. This is a normal response to the exercise and members of the public should not be alarmed.

There may be some disruption to normal public movement, in the vicinity of the Research Sites Restoration Ltd complex, however, this will be managed to a minimum and should finish by 9pm.
