Appleford-on-Thames Level Crossing, B4016 Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 17 October 2011, Coming into force: 22 October 2011
This Order is being introduced because of level crossing maintenance works at Appleford Level Crossing which is anticipated to take one night and day to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding from 22:45hrs Saturday 22 October to 15:45hrs the following day, when appropriate signage is displayed, across Appleford Level Crossing.
Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works. The alternative route is via the B4016 and the A4130 & vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
