Notice of Temporary Traffic Order - Footpath Closure Benson, Footpath 30
Date of Order: 17 October 2011 Coming into force: 24 October 2011
This Order is being introduced to enable lock gates replacement works to take place in Footpath 30 which it is anticipated will take 5 months to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any person from using Footpath 30 which runs across Benson Lock.
Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath.
The alternative route is via Preston Crowmarsh, Benson Lane, The Street, Wallingford Footpath 6 and Brightwell-cum-Sotwell Footpath 29 & vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
