Temporary Traffic Order - Long Wittenham, High Street

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Long Wittenham, High Street - Proinibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order:19 September 2011 Coming into force: 22 September 2011
This Order is being introduced because of carriageway maintenance works in part of High Street which is anticipated to take 2 days to complete.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, in that part of High Street northwards and southwards for I00 metres from the Little Wittenham road junction.
Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.
The altemative route for traffic affected by the closure is via B40I6, Culham, A4l5 Clifton Hampden and 8: vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
