Notice of Temporary Traf?c Order

West Hanney, Main Street - Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 3 October 2011 Coming into force: 10 October 2011

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway maintenance works in part of Main Street which is anticipated to take 5 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, in Main Street westwards from The Green to the road leading to Lyford.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Northmead Lane, Charney Bassett and Winter Lane & vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
