Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Abingdon, Trendell Place - Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 August 2011 Coming into force: 2 September 2011

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway maintenance works in Trendell Place which is anticipated to take five days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, in Trendell Place.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure via Wootton Road, Evelin Road, Wildmoor Gate, Larkhill Road and Longmead and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
