Notice of Temporary Traffic Order - Abingdon, Radley Road and Norman Avenue

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Abingdon, Radley Road and Norman Avenue - Prohibition of Traffic and Waiting

Date of Order: 22 August 2011 Coming into force: 30 August 2011

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway maintenance works in part of radley Road which is anticipated to take 5 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to: 1) prohibit any vehicle from proceeding or waiting, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, in that part of radley Road from its junction with Vineyard to its junction with audlett Drive; and

2) prohibit any vehicle from waiting in Norman Avenue (which will be used as the alternative Bus Route).

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative routes for traffic affected by the closure is via Audlett Drive, Twelve acre Drive and Oxford Road & vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
