Mill Lane, Wallingford Prohibition of Through Traffic

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Wallingford, Mill Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 13 June 2011
Coming into force: 20 June 2011

This Order is being introduced because of works to remove render and restore the front elevation of Number 1A Mill Lane, which is anticipated to take six weeks to complete.

The effects of the Order are to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, in that length of Mill Lane that runs from its junction with St Marys Street to just past the western property boundary of Number 1 Mill Lane.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via local roads.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
