Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
St Martin's Street & St Mary's Street, Wallingford
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 13 June 2011
Coming into force: 20 June 2011

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway reconstruction works to be carried out in St Martins Street and St Marys Street which it is anticipated will take 6 weeks to complete.

The effects of the Order are to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, alternately in St Martins Street and St Marys Street.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the St Martins Street closure is via St Johns Road, Croft Road and High Street.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
