Vale of White Horse District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, Abingdon, OX14 4SB Receipt of Notice under s.95 (2) Localism Act 2011 Relating Old Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 3JD

On 15 June 2015, the council received notice under section 95 (2) Localism Act 2011 from the land owners of Old Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 3JD that they wish to enter into a relevant disposal of the Land.

The initial six week moratorium period commenced on 22 June 2015 and will end on the 3 August 2015.

During this period community interest groups can write to the council and request to be treated as a potential bidder in relation to the Land.

Provided that a written intention is received from a community interest group a six month full moratorium period will commence and end on 21 December 2015 (this six month moratorium period includes the six week interim moratorium period).

The protected period will start from 21 December 2015 and end on 19 December 2016. Once any moratorium period has ended the Land owner can dispose of the Land during the remainder of the protected period without having to comply with section 95 Localism Act 2011.
