OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT I984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Church Road, Cholsey - Prohibition of Through Traf?c Date of Order: I5 August 20l I Coming into force: 24 August 2011

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway maintenance works in part of Church Road which is anticipated to take 2 days to complete.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, in that part of Church Road northwards from its junction with Wallingford Road for 350 metres.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Hithercroft, A4130 and Wallingford Road & vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
