Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Station Road Railway Bridge, Uffington - Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 15 August 2011 Coming into force: 22 August 2011

This Order is being introduced because of railway bridge inspection works in part of Station Road which is anticipated to take one day to complete.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding from 9.00am to 4.00pm, when the appropriate signage is displayed, in that part of Station Road across the railway bridge.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for vehicular access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Uffington and Fernham Road & vice versa

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
