Oxfordshire County Council - Temporary Traffic Order - Croft Road, Wallingford

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -
SECTION 14 (1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Croft Road, Wallingford - Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 25 July 2011
Coming into force: 1 August 2011

This order is being introduced because of carriageway reconstruction works to be carried out in Croft Road which is anticipated will take 3 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, in Croft Road.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to adjacent premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road.

The alternative route for northbound traffic affected by the closure is via St Johns Road, St Martins Street and High Street.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via High Street, St Marys Street and St Johns Road.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
