OXFORD City ended the season with defeat at Altrincham, a result which ensured the hosts would have a home tie in the Vanarama National League play-offs.
Alex Newby had already gone close to the opener, before Regan Linney scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot three minutes before half-time.
Chris Conn-Clarke almost added a second goal after the break, but the score remained 1-0.
The Hoops finished the season bottom of the table, 12 points shy of nearest side Dorking Wanderers, and a further eight of safety in the form of York City.

Banbury United were beaten 3-0 at home to National League North champions Tamworth, as they finished the campaign third from bottom in the table.
The Puritans ended the season without a win in 17 games, last tasting victory with a 2-1 win at home to Darlington at the end of January.
Already relegated Didcot Town were beaten 2-0 at Poole Town in Southern League Premier South.
North Leigh lost 4-0 at home to Southern League Central Division leaders Biggleswade Town, while Kidlington drew 1-1 at Biggleswade, and Thame United won 3-0 at home to Kings Langley.
