ABINGDON’S Noel Blatchford is celebrating after securing a bronze medal at the World Masters Championships in Malaga.
Competing in the LV70 10k walk, Blatchford came third in a time of 63mins 51 secs.
She will be going for a second medal in the 20k event on Friday.
Clubmate Marc Juffkins (V50) came 22nd in the decathlon with a new pb in 22nd place.
Abingdon’s second-claim athlete Jeanette Ashton (LV60) finished fifth in the heptathlon, while Pete Stepney (V55) was fourth in his 400m heat.
Abingdon’s Max and Sarah Livingstone-Learmonth ran in the Marathon du Médoc.
Sarah was the third LV40 home in 3hrs 14mins.
