WHEELCHAIR and mobility scooter users will be dancing in the streets of Didcot on Sunday as Cornerstone Arts Centre premières its Scooter Ballet.
The open-air show, created with drama company Slot Machine, involves young people on street scooters and disabled people on mobility scooters performing to a musical soundtrack outside the arts centre.
The three performances, at noon, 2pm and 4pm, will include performers recruited from youth organisation Train, local schools, and wheelchair users from Style Acre.
Mark Hickling, 56, of Church Street, Didcot, said: “Using what is thought of as a disability scooter suddenly becomes very useful when you are towing kids behind you in a big galleon formation.”
