A CHARITY shop has put together a Platinum Jubilee themed window display ahead of the celebrations next month.
Helen & Douglas House, of Market Place in Wallingford, have a two-window display showing the fashion of 1952 when Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne vs the fashion of the present day.
There is also Union Jack bunting and picnic set-ups.

Mandy Reekie, who has worked at the shop for about three weeks, put together the display herself.
She said: “They kind of earmarked me for the display as I used to do window dressing a long time ago at college.
“A few staff members have been putting things aside for quite sometime and I spent yesterday going through the basement trying to find things that would look nice.
“I just thought it would be nice as we have two windows to have one in 1952 and one in 2022 as not every shop has that opportunity.
“I was pleased with how it turned out and I cut the lettering out myself as well. I channelled my inner student.
“I really enjoyed it but it was tiring. A lot of people have commented to say it looks nice which has been so lovely.

“Some customers have been asking if the items are for sale but of course the window display will be up for the Jubilee weekend.”
