A VINTAGE motoring event returned to Wallingford after the coronavirus pandemic caused two years of cancellations.

Hundreds of people attended the Wallingford Vehicle Rally and Parade on Sunday (8) which had more than 350 vintage vehicles driving through the town.

The annual parade started at 10am at Wallingford Sports Park in Hithercroft Road before heading along St John’s Road and into the Market Place.

The convoy will then head along Reading Road, around the bypass and back into Wallingford along Wantage Road, Station Road and parking up at The Kinecroft.

A BBMF Hawker Hurricane also did a flypast to celebrate the event joining motorbikes, cars, vans, boats and a fire engine.

The parade raised money for a number of different charities, including the Scouts and Seesaw.
