TWO wildlife in groups in Wallingford have joined forces to expand their work and are giving away swift boxes to celebrate the merger.
Wallingford Wildlife Group and Friends of Wallingford and Cholsey Green Spaces merged this month under the new name, Wild about Wallingford.
The groups' mission is to “empower local communities and promote social action so residents have access and the opportunity to contribute to quality green spaces”.

To celebrate, the group is giving away 10 free swift boxes due to a 53 per cent decline in the bird species between 1995 and 2016.
To receive a box, people must live in the town and be able to sit them at least 4.5 metres above the ground.
