ARTISTS learning Chinese Brush Painting are holding an exhibition of their work produced in the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
Members of the Oxfordshire Chinese Brush Painting Group started their spring exhibition on Saturday, April 30 and it will run until Tuesday, June 7 at 35 Ock Street Café in Abingdon.
The paintings on display are those the members produced in lockdown while being taught weekly by Chinese artists over Zoom.

Jean Wykes, a member of the group, said: “During the lockdown as we were unable to meet, one of our members, Jing Li, arranged for the group to have weekly lessons online via Zoom from the China Academy of Fine Art at the University of Hangzhou, China.
“The tutors provided tuition in the disciplines of landscape painting, flower and bird, and calligraphy.
“In recognition of their generosity, the group raised £1,620 for NHS Together. We also raised £600 for Papyrus and CALM, charities which aim to prevent suicide.
“We shall continue to fundraise in 2022 for these charities and we continue our Zoom lessons on Wednesday mornings.”
Members of OCBPG will be holding weekly taster sessions on Friday, May 13, 20 and 27 at 35 Ock Street from 10.30am to 12pm for anyone interested in experimenting with Chinese paper, brush and ink.
