A TRAIN passenger was fined more than £600 after failing to buy a ticket.
Mya Morgan Sevitt,22 of Nelson Road in Southsea appeared in Oxford Magistrates’ Court on January 28.
Sevitt was caught in Henley on a Great Western Railway train after failing to pay for an £11.20 train ticket on August 12, 2021.

Magistrates heard the defendant intended to avoid paying the fare and gave a false name to the officer of a railway company.
Sevitt was fined £220 and ordered to pay £11.20 in compensation for not paying the fare.

She was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £180 and fined an additional £220 for giving a false name after failing to pay the fare.
