Villagers are preparing to host refugees from the conflict in Ukraine.
Three homes in Clifton Hampden and Burcot, in South Oxfordshire are getting ready to welcome people into their households as part of the re-settlement scheme.
One of the people involved in the re-settlement scheme is the vicar of Long Wittenham, Clifton Hampden and Culham Canon Paul Wiggins.

He said: “Preparations are taking place at three households in Clifton Hampden and Burcot to host refugees from the conflict in Ukraine. Many other people have signed up to support them in a variety of ways.”

In November last year Long Wittenham Primary School welcomed 15 children from Afghanistan who fled the country when the Taliban took control. There are now 11 at the school.
